Treadmaster Marine Contact Adhesive

Treadmaster Marine Contact adhesive is ideal for fixing Treadmaster flooring to fiberglass, wood or steel decks and provides a quick method of application which allows immediate usage of the Treadmaster flooring once stuck down.

Treadmaster Marine Contact adhesive is a specific marine grade of contact adhesive, this means the adhesive will try to immediately 'grab' whatever surface it is applied to which is ideal if you need immediate use of the flooring, however this can mean that it may be difficult to move sheets around to get an exact positioning once the material is in place.

The adhesive will begin to harden quite quickly, but the final bond strength is less than you would get with an epoxy adhesive; this does mean that it is easier to remove when you want to replace the sheets, but not as good at holding them in position. Another important fact to consider with contact adhesives is that they begin to soften with temperature, and if your boat is in the Mediterranean you could find that on a very hot day the adhesive may soften quite considerably, it is not usually recommend to use contact adhesive in very warm climates.
