Wetline Automatic Lifejacket Information
The Wetline lifejacket is extremely comfortable to wear and has been designed to be as compact as possible so that it is practical to wear all the time whilst cruising. The slim line style of the life jacket is non-intrusive to cruising activity as it is fairly lightweight, ergonomically designed to sit suitably around the body and made from robust materials and has a soft edging around the neck for added comfort.
The Wetline life jacket produces 165 Newtons of buoyancy when inflated. It has a heavy duty cover that offers resistance to abrasion whilst manoeuvring around your boat and protects the internal independent inflating air chamber inside. It has twin shoulder straps for greater strength and stability and comes complete with a anti-magnetic metal buckle for fastening the lifejacket on and a fully adjustable waist belt.
The automatic system works by way of a dissolvable crystal element that triggers the firing mechanism when dissolved by water submersion. With this automatic life jacket a manual pull cord is also easy to hand in-case a problem occurs and the auto-inflation mechanism has not triggered.
Importantly, this life jacket has an independent air chamber which is useful in-case the jackets outer cover is damaged the chamber is protected by a very resistant, highly visible, neon yellow outer cover to help prevent damage. Inflated with 33g Carbon Dioxide gas cylinder, and in the event of a failed inflation an oral inflation tube with a non-return valve is easily to hand - this can also be used to top up the air chambers if necessary.
Other safety features include, a whistle and grab handle, three nylon toggles for attaching lifejacket foul weather gear and three 50mm wide SOLAS retro-reflecting tape areas on the inside inflation chamber and retro-reflecting detailing on the external jacket in normal wear position for heightened visibility.
The Wetline lifejackets also comes complete with a breathable bag for tidy storage onboard your boat.
