We find that a bit of cardboard placed around the base of the wooden flagstaff and placed into the socket helps to prevent the flagstaff wedging tight owing to swelling by water absorption. This allows the flagstaff to be removed easily from the socket.
These varnished wooden boat flag poles come complete with a plastic cleat for tying off to and holes in the top of the flagstaff for positioning the flag appropriately.
The wooden flag poles are approximately 28mm (1 1/8") at the base with a turned down end to approximately 22mm (7/8") to fit various sized flagstaff sockets.
Please note: These wooden flagstaffs are made from natural raw materials thus the colour and texture may differ depending on the wood used.
