What began as two separate compaines, Dow Chemical and Corning Glass, in 1943 the pair of companies collaborated in a joint venture to explore the potential of silicone in manufacturing of products for use by the US military in World War II. Today Dow Corning manufacture roughly 7000 different silicones, lubricants, adhesives and solvents along side their sister brand Geocel. Geocel Dow Corning Marine Silicone Sealant is specially formulated to provide excellent adhesion in the harsh marine environment.
