TeamO marine is a family run, UK based, manufacturer of marine safety equipment and lifejackets. Started by brother and sister, Oscar and Lauren Mead, in 2013 after a tragic sailing accident occurred where a crew member, wearing a lifejacket tethered to his boat, sadly lost his life as he was dragged face-down in the water next to the vessel.
Oscar realised that a new design of his would allow wearers to be towed whilst lying on their backs, this design is called BackTow. Having got their jacket to market in 2017 TeamO Marine campaigned on a crowd fnding website and gained investment of £270,000 to continue to develop and expand their product manufacturing and supply to the trade.
All of teamO lifejackets are now made in the UK from their facility in Woolston.
