'Stainless Steel' also know as 'Corrosion-resistant Steel' refers to the corrosion or oxidation (rust) resistant property of this particular 'steel family'. Stainless steels are iron alloys manufactured with a minimum of 10.5% chromium during production. Other elements such as Nickel, Titanium, Copper and Molybdennum are added to change the strength, toughness and formability depending on the suitability for application. We provided marine grade stainless steel fittings such as stainless steel screws, stainless steel fixtures and stainless steel lights among other things. The marine environment requires stainless steel boat parts to be fitted so the corrosion does not affect the structural properties of the item.
