The Jabsco toilet system vented loop is an anti-syphon safety device that can be installed in boat toilet systems that are installed below the waterline to help prevent unwanted water syphoning through the system.
A vented loop provides an extra element of safety to a toilet installation. By placing vented loops inline, both on the rinse inlet and the waste outlet, it goes someway toward preventing the water or waste from syphoning back the wrong way and causing potentially serious problems such as waste overflow or, worse still, river or sea water entering in large volume.
The vent at the top of the vented loop allows air to be drawn into the system, essentially allowing the system to breathe, and avoiding a vacuum build-up and therefore reducing the risk of syphoning.
This marine toilet system vented loop can be installed using the three fixing holes and features a replaceable air inlet valve on the top.
