Self Adhesive Vinyl Boat Names

Have new self adhesive vinyl boat names individually printed for your boat. Our in house vinyl printer is able to print boat names between 1-4" in height in various different colours and typefaces to really add a personal touch to your boat.

Self adhesive boat name application is usually very straight forward and suitable for all sorts of surfaces including GRP and painted surfaces. An application guide will come with your new name to help you through applying it to your boat.

How do I order my vinyl boat name?

To order your very own boat name simply place an order online, by selecting the relevant number in the drop down box above for the TOTAL number of characters you require printing (for example, most boats have three names, two at the bow and one at the stern, so add all the individual characters up and place an order for this number) - press the 'Add to basket' button and complete your order. Alternatively, contact us or pop by our River Thames Shop to place your order.

Once you have ordered your boat name characters contact us (via email, telephone or in person) with your 'Personalisation Details' which should include:

1. Your Sheridan Marine Order Number "SM-??????" (if you have ordered online).
2. Your chosen Boat Name (as you wish it printed)
3. How many Print Runs of the Boat Name (for example, three Print Runs for three boat names, two bow & one stern etc.)
4. Your colour from Blue, Black, White, Brown or Red
5. Your chosen Typeface from the list above
6. Your chosen Size from 1", 2", 3" or 4"

Please note: Once we have received the above information the order is confirmed so please make sure all the details are correct as we will be unable to refund any personalised boat name from this point.

Personalisation & Ordering Guide

How many characters can I have?

You are able to have as many characters as you like.

How big will the characters be?

We can print boat names in 1", 2", 3" or 4" high characters. The finished length of the name will depend on the font selected.

What Colour is the lettering?

All the lettering will be specifically printed for your chosen design in Royal Blue, Black White, Red or Brown vinyl lettering. (Please note: that although care is taken to match colours as accurately as possible, digital applications can alter the appearance of colours and does not allow exact colour reproduction).

Can I have multiple colours per name?

Unfortunately this is not possible as our vinyl printer will produce your design in one continuous print.

What typeface can I choose?

There are ten typefaces (fonts) available, these are shown in the photographs above and can be in capitals or lower case. When confirming your order please specify which typeface you require.

Can I choose my own typeface?

We list a selection of typefaces above that tend to be popular and work well during application. Realistically we are only bound by the fonts we have access to so common typefaces found on programs like Microsoft Word should be available. Please note that complicated font styles make it more difficult to apply the names in situ.

Can I choose multiple typefaces for my boat name?

Unfortunately this is not possible as our vinyl printer will produce your design in one continuous print.

Is there anything that cannot be printed?

We are only limited to whatever the typeface limitations are, so, in theory, any well known character, including letters, numbers and symbols should not be a problem. If we experience a problem with your chosen boat name we will contact you before we print anything.

We will not however, print any swear words, abusive language or anything that we deem offensive and we will not be held responsible for any offence a message that you choose may cause.

Can I cancel an order once I place it?

Due to the nature of personalisation once we receive your 'Personalisation Details' (either by email, by telephone or in person) we will be unable to cancel your order and from this point no refund can be given.

How long will it take to print my boat name?

We will endeavour to produce your boat name as quickly as possible and would usually expect it to be printed within three days and dispatched to you soon afterwards (based on a Monday to Friday working week). Please bear in mind that at peak times, such as the Spring, times may be extended so it is always best to order as early as possible!

How do I fit self adhesive boat names?

Self adhesive boat names are easy to fit with a little thought and patience. The boat name comes sandwiched between two layers, the label backing and the label transfer. The label should be pressed so that it attaches to the transfer sheet and then applied to a clean surface and pressed on to finish. A more in depth guidance sheet is sent with the names.
