SpongeBob SquarePants Baby Buoyancy Life Jacket Information
The SpongeBob SquarePants baby life jacket is a highly visible and robust baby life jacket featuring 100N (Newtons) of buoyancy which makes it technically a life jacket as opposed to a buoyancy aid.It is ideal for cruising on the water and features reflective panels, a whistle, easy fastening buckles, a grab handle, crotch strap and large head support to help keep a babies mouth out from the water.
The fun, yet, serious nature of the SpongeBob SquarePants baby life jacket should provide some peace of mind if you are taking your baby onboard or even to the beach. The fun element will probably be missed by your child but the use of life jackets are an excellent way to reduce risks when out and about for a day on the water.
With the extra large head support, that is a major feature of this baby life jacket, helping to provide excellent support to your babies head and neck, when fitted comfortably to your baby, the neck support is designed to make sure your babies mouth is as far away from water as possible, giving you time to organise the rescue. The grab handle on the head support and the strong buckle, zip and various tie cords and crotch strap fastener all go towards helping to keep your baby as safe as possible near water.

A Buoyancy Aid or a Life Jacket?
The difference between a buoyancy aid and a life jacket is the amount of buoyancy and the ability of the jacket to 'self right' the wearer.
All childrens floatation devices (life jackets, buoyancy aids etc.) are classified as life jackets as any life jacket for those under 30Kg must offer 100N (Newtons) of buoyancy and self right the child. A life jacket keeps the child safely on their back and provides enough buoyancy for use in different river and sea conditions.
