The WaterMota Crossflow Contact Set is the original contact set (points) as fitted to most WaterMota Crossflow petrol engine distributors when they left the factory.
The WaterMota Crossflow contact set lies underneath the distributor cap and works in conjunction with the coil and spark plugs to maintain your engine's electrical spark and smooth running. (When servicing your engine it is common practice to replace the WaterMota Crossflow Condenser along with the WaterMota Contact Set).
The WaterMota contact set is suitable for the majority of WaterMota Crossflow petrol engines including the WaterMota Sea Wolf Mk2 and WaterMota Sea Tiger Mk2. This WaterMota contact set may occasionally be found on the earlier WaterMota Pre-Crossflow engine version if the original distributor has been upgraded in previous years.

There are a few WaterMota Crossflow engines that were originally fitted with an alternative distributor complete with a different contact set. The alternative distributor can usually be identified by its tan brown colour distributor cap as distinct from the standard black version. If this is the case please contact us.
