WaterMota Pipe Connector

The WaterMota pipe connector allows for the connection of the engine water system hoses for the transfer of cooling water in the cooling system where a Hosetail Style system is fitted.

Which WaterMota engine is this Pipe Connector suitable for?

The WaterMota pipe connector is suitable for the majority of WaterMota Crossflow petrol engines including the WaterMota Sea Wolf Mk2 & WaterMota Sea Tiger Mk2 fitted with the Hosetail Style water cooling system. This style of water cooling fitment may also be found on the WaterMota Pre-Crossflow engines too.

There is usually seven separate locations on a WaterMota Crossflow engine where the pipe connector can be used:

• Two pipe connectors are used on the exhaust manifold
• Two pipe connectors are used on the thermostat housing (only one is used if there is not a bypass system installed)
• One pipe connector is used on the exhaust bend
• Two pipe connectors are used on the engine water inlet cover (only one is used if there is not a bypass system installed).

What are the usual WaterMota Water Cooling Pipe System fitting options?

There were basically two styles of fitment for the WaterMotal petrol engine water cooling pipe systems, Compression Style or Hosetail Style.

The most common among the installations on Freeman Cruisers is the Hosetail Style which utilises this WaterMota Pipe Connector at inlets and outlets on the engine and generally uses the Engine Water Hose to connect various water cooling routes together.

Not so commonly found is the Compression Style installations which use compression fittings at inlets and outlets on the engine and copper pipe to connect various water cooling routes.
