The Plastimo XM Quickfit lifejackets have been designed to offer comfort and easy, non-intrusive wear. The slim-line 'jacket' design is extremely comfortable to wear and is as compact as possible so that it is practical to wear all the time whilst cruising. The slim line style of the life jacket is fairly lightweight, ergonomically designed to sit suitably around the body and is made from robust materials.

The automatic inflation system works by way of a dissolvable crystal element that triggers the firing mechanism when dissolved by water submersion. The buoyancy provided is effective enough to self-right individuals - meaning it will turn most wearers face up within 5 seconds, even if unconscious (equipped with regular clothing). With this automatic life jacket a manual pull cord is also easy to hand in-case a problem occurs and the auto-inflation mechanism has not triggered.

XM Yatching Quickfit adult life jacket produces 150 Newtons of buoyancy when inflated and has twin shoulder straps for greater strength and stability and comes complete with a quick-fit buckle for fastening the lifejacket on and a fully adjustable waist belt.

Importantly, this life jacket has an independent internal air chamber which is useful in-case the jackets outer cover is damaged. The internal chamber is protected by a very resistant, highly visible, neon yellow outer cover to help prevent damage. It is inflated with 33g Carbon Dioxide gas cylinder, and in the event of a failed inflation an oral inflation tube with a non-return valve is easily to hand - this can also be used to top up the air chambers if necessary.

Other safety features include, a whistle and three strips of retro-reflecting tape areas on the inside inflation chamber for heightened visibility.
