Davis Rudder Position Indicator

A self adhesive rudder position indicator that can be stuck to boat helm wheels to visibly show where the rudder is pointing with red (port) and green (starboard) markings every 30 degrees.

How does the boat rudder position indicator work?

The boat steering indicator has two white markings and various red and green markings placed at 30 degree intervals. When installing it is important to have the two white markings central (on top of each other) so that it is clear when the rudder is straight.

Now, as the helm wheel is turned, the floating indicator, will pivot to indicate the affect on the rudder. For example, should you wish to turn to starboard, the two white markings will part, highlighting the angle of the rudder and the green markings on the starboard side of the dial.

The boat steering dial can be attached to the centre of a steering wheel with the self adhesive foam backing ring that runs around the outside edge of the back of the dial.
