This easy to apply gel formula can be applied via brush or flat blade and is safe on all surfaces except for aluminium. The gel consistency means it can hold to surfaces much better than that or more liquid based products; something that is particularly useful for boat antifoul removal as it does not run.
If using paint stripper on ply boards, or other 'weak' woods such as veneer, it is important to pay close attention and remove the stripper as soon as the paint or varnish layer has been removed. If left on 'weak' wood damage may occur and wood may become darker; particular on hardwoods. When using the Owatrol Paint and Varnish Stripper on any surface it is important to rinse off with the Owatrol Deck Cleaner, imperative on all wood applications to prevent unwanted continual action of the stripper.
This marine paint stripper will not affect two component or baked-on paints, polyurethane paint and varnishes.
