A Rule bilge pump and Rule Rule-A-Matic float switch combination that is ignition protected, highly abrasion resistant with a removable strainer base for cleaning.
This ready-to-go boat bilge pump kit combines the two basic items for a bilge pump setup. Both the bilge pump and float switch come with pre-stripped wires for easy installation.
When wired up, the bilge pump will be activated when the float switch rises to the 'on' position as the water level rises. When the water level is low the switch sits idle but as the water level increases and becomes too high the float switch rises with the water and once the maximum level is reached the switch clicks and sends a signal to a water pump to operate. The pump should then do its job until the float switch is lowered to the 'off' position, the pump will then turn off.
The positioning of the switch is relatively important so that it is most effective.
