Selectable Signal Fuel Level Gauge with Stainless Steel Bezel

This fuel level gauge is a classically styled 52mm fuel level gauge with a shiny stainless steel bezel and can be used on either 240 to 33 ohm or 10 to 180 Ohm resistance signals by choosing the way it is wired into the system. It features a black gauge with white writing, an analogue white needle and a shiny stainless steel bezel, it is also waterproof with excellent anti-fogging performance.

The fuel level gauge has a scale from Empty (E) to Full (F) with markings for 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 full to show the amount of fuel in your tank. The gauge requires an appropriate 12 Volt Fuel Level Senders to be fitted to the fuel tank to sense the correct fuel level.

Fuel Level Gauge Senders - What Resistance?

This fuel level gauge works with a sensor that are selectable by you during the installation. You can select the signal read between either 240 to 33 ohm or 10 to 180 Ohm.

• 240 to 33 ohm Signal - 240 ohms of resistance when the tank is empty and 33 ohms when the tank is full. This type of fuel sender is usually used by American gauge manufacturers and may be found on boats of American origin here in the UK. Common gauges using this resistance to show empty and full could be made by Beede, Faria USA, Medalion, S. Giorgio Sein, Teleflex and Vetus.
• 10 to 180 Ohm Signal - the 10 ohms of resistance when the tank is empty and 180 ohms when the tank is full. This type of fuel sender is usually used by European gauge manufacturers and may be found on boats of European origin here in the UK. Common gauges using this resistance to show empty and full could be made by Faria Europe, Guardian, Smiths, Uflex, VDO and Yazaki.

This classic fuel level gauge comes complete with built-in led backlight illumination red light and is designed for use on 12 volt or 24 volt systems. It also comes complete with a wiring loom with a quick connect plug to make fitting easier.

Waterproof Fuel Level Gauge

This fuel level gauge has an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of IP67 which means it is completely sealed from dust and is waterproof as it is protected against temporary immersion in water (up to 30 minutes).

Fuel Level Gauge with Stainless Steel Bezel Installation

The gauge requires a 53mm hole and will fit panels with a thickness from 0.5mm to approximately 20mm, this is achieved thanks to the long threaded body and large plastic nut to lock the voltmeter in position.

The wiring loom is pre-wired to a plug which pushes into the back of the gauge, only four wires are required out of the 5 wire loom, Positive, Negative, backlight wire (red light), and either of the signal wires to choose between either 240 to 33 ohm or 10 to 180 Ohm resistance signals.
