This boat flagstaff rail socket has an allen key fitting that holds the two sections together. Releasing the fitting allows the two parts to be separated so that they can fit on to their respective rail diameters. Once on the rail an small grub screw can anchor the flagstaff in place on the rail.
These boat flagstaff sockets come with a plastic insert sleeve that can be used to reduce the flagstaff diameter from 24mm to 20mm.
