The Freeman E-Power inboard electric engine has been developed to fit Freeman Cruisers with off-set stern gear, providing an option to future-proof your classic Freeman for the next generation. Choose between engine size variants to propel your Freeman with zero-emission electric propulsion.

The Freeman E-Power has been developed over many years to provide a genuine replacement option for the future of inland waterways cruising. Whether you are forced into an engine change, want to cruise with zero emissions, or are fed up with unreliability then the 48-volt Freeman E-Power electric propulsion marine engine is an ideal solution to the Freeman off-set engine-to-propeller shaft coupling.

The Freeman E-Power utilizes most of the existing equipment on your boat including the existing propeller, propeller shaft, coupling, engine cooling water inlet seacock, engine bearers, and log hose. If you would like to keep your existing engine we can make this suitable for long-term storage when it has been removed, just in case you wish to revert back to the traditional combustion engine at some point! (This is a viable option as we have no need to remove the fuel tank or fuel lines which makes reinstallation easier at a later date etc.).

We can supply the electric engine kit so you can fit this yourself, along with batteries, chargers, and ancillary equipment, or you can book it in with us to install it by prior arrangement.
