August Race LR Sealer UV is a hydrophobic rib tube coating to help prevent water spots and water absorption on inflatables. 100% biodegradable this coating also provides UV and bird stain protection.

How does August Race LR Sealer work?

This hydrophobic solution uses smart chemistry to repel water. Hydrophobe is a physical property of a molecule that has an abscence of attraction to water. This seemingly 'repels' water from the chemical formulation used in the LR Sealer Coat i.e. water will fall away from the surface protected, providing a smart solution to water repelling.

With August Race LR Sealer Coat applied to your inflatable boat, kayak, rib or paddleboard water is 'forced' away from the surface whic prevent dirt build up and calcium water spots.

What steps are usually required for application?

Firstly it is important to test in a discreet location like all cleaning products to ensure sutability for your application and always read the label following all health and safety advice provided by the manufacturer. However, this product can usually be used effectively when following the basic steps:

1. Clean the surface to be treated using August Race Liquid RIB Fast Acting Rib Cleaner and allow to dry.
2. Apply out of direct sunlight to a dry lint free cloth and wipe on to the tube ensuring and even coverage.
3. Buff to a high gloss finish and re-apply as needed.
