International Woodskin is a flexible satin finish wood oil/varnish hybrid that creates a microporous, breathable skin with tiny holes which allows the varnish skin expand and contract providing water protection and breath ability.
The modern hybrid varnish oil provides a 'skin', much like human skin with pores that open and close to control body climate, to allow the wood to breath whilst also being protected from the elements. This allows the wood to flex and 'pull' the varnish oil with it while it constantly expands and contracts with temperature change. The holes in the microporous skin are so small that they are able to repel water - which can cause mould and mildew.
International Woodskin is design for use above the waterline and provides a satin finish to woodwork, a subtle, translucent sheen. It is suitable for use on all types of wood including oily woods such as teak and iroko.
