The Seastar Teleflex Single Lever 700SS Side Mount Control is a dual action side mounting engine control, designed for sailboats, combining both the throttle and gear into one control.
This control is commonly known as the side mount sailboat control as it has a smooth gear knob to reduce sheet fouling. However, it is suitable for use on most boats for controlling inboard engines, sterndrives and outboards with standard 33C type cables.
The throttle and gear control features a heavy duty black polyester powder coated gear lever with a red neutral "warm up" button for throttle only operation.
This side mount gear controller is often supplied by engine manufacturers for installation with new engines on cabin cruisers and narrow boats. It can be known as the Vetus Single Lever Side Mount (AFSTZIJ) as well as other engine manufacturers such as Beta Marine (212-04346).
