This fender eye has a spring loaded clip that snaps shut when rope is inserted making fender attachment easy and swift. The triangular design of the base has two counter sunk fixing holes and helps avoid rope chaffing when fender rope is in position.
It is a very similar design to the Interboat fender eye, the slight difference is the height.
