August Race GRP Sealer is a 100% biodegrable, semi-permanent, cross linking polyer coating to repel water preventing water build up, which leads to water spots, on gelcoat surfaces.

What does the August Race GRP Sealer do?

• This super hi-gloss GRP sealer coating protects against damaging ultra-violet rays from the sun which can lead to discolouration and chalking of gelcoat.
• It protects against water build up and water spots by repeling water away off the protected surface so hard water and calcium cannot adhere to the gelcoat.
• It protect against salt deposit build up which can degrade and discourlour gelcoat surfaces.
• It will also help prevent bird droppings from sticking to the surface, making them easier to wipe clean and stop discorlouration that can occur.

What steps are usually required for application?

Firstly it is important to test in a discreet location like all cleaning products to ensure sutability for your application and always read the label following all health and safety advice provided by the manufacturer.. However, this product can usually be used effectively when following the basic steps:

1. Wash the surface to be treated using a sutable boat wash like August Race Boat Wash Pro and allow to dry.
2. Apply out of direct sunlight to a dry lint free cloth and wipe on to the substrate (gelcoat) ensuring a even coverage.
3. Buff to a high gloss finish and re-apply as needed.
