The British Seagull® Outboard QB Series Thrust Lock Caliper locates on the engine bracket to support the Reverse Lock Rubber on the engine mount for the later 'Selector Rod Control' system.
This system replaced the original 'Reverse Lock Rubber Sleeve' system from 1990 engines, predominantly on the QB Kingfisher & Osprey engines. The caliper interacts with the British Seagull Outboard QB Series Reverse Lock Assembly to help prevent unwanted damage to underwater gear.
The Thrust Lock Caliper is secured in place with the British Seagull Outboard QB Series Selector Rod Controlled Thrust Lock Caliper Handle, British Seagull Outboard Mounting Bracket Security Bar Safety Pin, and British Seagull Outboard Model 110/90 & QB Series Plain Washer.
The British Seagull Outboard QB Series Thrust Lock Caliper is suitable for QB Kingfisher & Osprey engines fitted with the 'Selector Rod Control' reverse system only. This design was used on engines until 1990.
