A calorifier pressure and temperature relief valve that helps to protect pressurised water systems onboard by relieving pressure if it increase beyond a certain pressure or temperature.
A boat calorifier pressure and temperature relief valve that helps to protect pressurised water systems onboard by relieving pressure if it increase beyond a certain pressure or temperature.
A boat water system pressure and temperature relief valve is design to open at a particular pressure or pre-set temperature as a protection for equipment that may not be built for an increase in pressure, for example a water calorifier.
It is importasnt to check that your marine pressurised water pump has a pressure switch set to cut out at or below 2.5 bar (36psi). Use of a switch cutting out at or close to 3 bar (44psi) could lead to continuous discharge of water through the relief valve.
Pressure | 3 Bar (44 Psi) |
Temperature | 90°C |
Thread | 1/2" BSP |
Outlet | 1/2" Hosetail (13mm) or 15mm Compression |
It is important to determine the water system pressure before installing a new pressure relief valve.
