The Electronic Distributor for Watermota Engines is a new electronic ignition distributor for both the WaterMota Crossflow and Pre-Crossflow petrol engines.
This complete new distributor comes pre-fitted with an electronic ignition module complete with a new distributor cap. This electronic distributor can be used with a standard WaterMota Ignition Coil and does not need a new one fitted; however, it is often a good idea to replace your old coil with a new one when fitting a new distributor.
The Electronic Distributor for Watermota Engines is also available as a premium WaterMota Electronic Distributor with upgraded internal components for better running.
A worn-out distributor can cause poor performance or a non-running engine. If your original distributor is not performing properly after having checked and or changed the points, condenser, coil and HT Leads then a new distributor may be the answer.
The WaterMota Distributor is a part of the engine's ignition system, it transfers the high voltage from the coil in the correct order to the correct spark plug in time with the engine.
It is important that the electronic distributor is installed correctly; it needs fitting and is not a 'plug and play' item. You will need to make sure the new distributor is installed at the same rotation as the original distributor. You will also need to make sure the timing on the engine is correct.
The Electronic Distributor for Watermota Engines is suitable for WaterMota Pre-Crossflow petrol engines including the WaterMota Sea Wolf Mk1 and WaterMota Sea Tiger Mk1 and WaterMota Crossflow petrol engines including the WaterMota Sea Wolf Mk2 and WaterMota Sea Tiger Mk2.
