Why is there a modern M6 thread equivalent?
We produced a modern M6 thread equivalent as a fix for loose, original, locating thread fixtures within the cabin top.
If one of the threads that holds the windscreen clamps in place is spinning, and you are unable to tighten the knurled nut sufficiently to hold the screen in place, then it is more than likely that you will have to replace the original thread within the cabin top to a modern metric equivalent. This does require more work but is usually the only way to solve the problem. A metric, stainless steel machine bolt with adequate washers and the M6 knurled nut seems to work well - contact us for more information.
