This inglefield swivel hook is a clip for joining a flag or boat ensign quickly and securely to flags staffs so that they can be hoisted easily.
Also know as a 'sister clip' or 'Brummel Hook', these clips comprise of two chain links clipped together. One of the chain links has a swivel eyelet and the the other has a static eyelet. Both of the chain links have a chamfered split on one edge of the link which allows the two parts to fit together or come apart when angled just right.
When the Inglefield clip is attached in line on a flagstaff system the flag can be easily and quickly attached or removed.
