Jabsco Toilet Solenoid & Anti-Syphon Valve

The Jabsco Toilet Solenoid & Siphon Valve is designed to regulate water flow and prevent backflow or siphoning of water into the water system or tank feed when used for the flush water.

What does the Jabsco Electric Toilet Solenoid do?

The Jabsco 37038-2012 Electric Toilet Solenoid has two functions:

1. Solenoid Valve: The electrical solenoid valve controls the flow of water into the toilet bowl from the water feed for the flushing process. When activated, typically by the toilet flush switch, the solenoid opens to allow water to flow into the toilet for flushing. When deactivated, it closes to stop the flow of water.
2. Siphon Breaker: The anti-siphon breaker is a safety feature designed to prevent the siphoning of water from the toilet bowl back into the feed water system. This is crucial to prevent contamination of the freshwater supply with potentially harmful bacteria or waste. The siphon breaker consists of a one-way valve or an air gap in the plumbing system. It allows air to enter the toilet bowl's water supply line, breaking any siphoning action that might occur.

The Jabsco 37038-2012 can be connected to the electrical system using the spade connectors located towards the top. It can be secured on a bulkhead with the four fixing holes on the mounting backplate.
