Marlow 8 Plait Marstron floating line is a lightweight versatile rope that does not absorb water and remains lightweight when wet.
This soft to handle, flexible rope is easily coiled and thrown as it is a non-kinking rope. These properties help to make it a good rope to use on safety equipment such as life rings and life buoys.
Floating rope is an excellent addition to lifebuoy rings and other safety devices to improve visibility of a man overboard and increase the chance that a person in the water can grab something to tether to in an emergency situation. It is important to have a safety plan in place and for it to be well practised, especially if a safety device is thrown into the water.
