A mobile mains site power unit that plugs directly into 16 amp site sockets and converts to multiple 13 amp mains power sockets with built-in RCD and circuit breaker protection.
A mobile mains site power unit that plugs directly into 16 amp site sockets and converts to multiple 13 amp mains power sockets with built-in RCD and circuit breaker protection.
This multiple socket mobile mains site power unit has three 13 amp (standard UK three pin plug) sockets with IP54 splash proof covers and an IP44 dust and splash proof 16 amp plug which can be inserted into the equivalent 16 amp site socket (a common marina or caravan site power supply).
The site power has a built-in RCD (Residual Current Device) which switches off the electricity automatically if there is a fault detected to protect against the risk of electrocution and fire caused by earth faults.
How does an RCD work?
An RCD constantly monitors electrical current running through circuits fitted with an RCD. If it detects the current trying to follow an unintended path, such as through a person who has cut through a wire, the RCD will switch the current off quickly, reducing risk of serious injury.
It is also fitted with a circuit breaker that is designed to automatically protect an electrical circuit from current overload or a short circuit. Should the circuit breaker trip it can be reset once the fault has been attended to.
Another safety feature fitted to the mobile mains adapter is the Correct Polarity warning light which should indicate if reverse polarity occurs.
With a 20m orange connection lead, a hanging hook and two attachment clips on the rear of the unit it is a versatile power unit.
