A chrome-plated brass spring-loaded hatch fastener with a screw down type release mechanism. This hatch fastener is designed to work with the spring-loaded screw fastener installed on a horizontal surface, and the stay at a 90-degree angle on a moving vertical surface. When the fastener is unscrewed and pulled back, the stay and the corresponding hatch or window frame can be released.
