Tasman Marine Hob and Grill Pan Clamps & Gimbals

Stainless steel marine cooker pan clamps and gimbals for use with the Tasman Hob and Grill, allowing the hob to move with the boat's motion while clamping cooking pans.

The pan clamps fix to the side of the Tasman 4500 hob & grill and run as four independent sliders to close in on pans to steady them in place.

With the provided gimbals installed onto the boat it allows the hob and grill to pivot on the two locating latches on either side of the hob. The gimbals feature a safety clip to help prevent the pan clamps from lifting off unintentionally.

Which boat cookers are these hob pan clamps compatible with?

This boat cooker hob pan clamp is suitable for the Tasman 4500 Hob & Grill only and not the oven.

These hob pan clamps will fit the old Neptune 2500 models of hob; however, due to design changes in the 2500 and 4500 hobs, you may find that the clamps sit too high on your pans.

These pan clamps are not compatible with the Neptune Marine Cooker; for this, please see Neptune Marine Cooker Gimballed Pan Clamps.

Do I need gimbals with my boat cooker pan clamps?

This depends on the installation of your marine cooker. If you require your boat cooker to 'swing' with the motion of the ocean (normally if you are sailing in rougher weather) then gimbals will allow your cooker to 'float' on to pivot points, swinging the cooker against the roll of the boat - with the idea of keeping your oven flat with the horizon.

If you are not such an adventurous sailor and prefer calm seas (or rivers and lakes) chances are you may not require the gimbals. You may find that your cooker is attached directly to the galley floor and will rock with your boat.

The pan clamps work in the same way with either option; for example, they will clamp your pans in place, but the gimballed oven pan clamps provide those pivot points for the cooker to 'sway'.
