We understand that buying online is enjoyable and has many benefits. We are also aware of the disadvantages that go with home shopping; planning your day for accepting deliveries is not ideal. So, to help with your daily planning we now have the ability to offer you even more flexibility to receive your order from us. Simply choose the Express Delivery option at the checkout and you will have access to:

A One Hour Delivery Window

That's right, use our express delivery and you will be given a one hour delivery window on the day of delivery - you won’t need to wait in all day, you can now happily work around your delivery window and be home in time for the delivery. If the delivery window you've been given doesn't suit you then don't worry, you can change your delivery window too!

How it all works

  • Simply order your products online anytime that suits you.
  • We’ll then do our part and dispatch your order to you as soon as possible.
  • On the day your order is due for delivery you will receive an email and/or a text message containing your one hour delivery window.
  • Here’s the magic part, if you are happy with the delivery window that you’ve been given then you can go ahead and add this delivery window into your plan for the day. However, if, for whatever reason, the one hour delivery window you have been given is not convenient you can simply re-schedule a new delivery time directly from the email or text message you received; a new delivery window will then be allocated to you.

Leave my order in a Safe Place

Yep, if the one hour delivery window still isn't going to work with your day plan then why not request your order to be left in a safe place at the delivery address chosen?

How it all works

  • Simply order your products online anytime that suits you.
  • We’ll then do our part and dispatch your order to you as soon as possible.
  • On the day your order is due for delivery you will receive an email and/or a text message containing your one hour delivery window.
  • Now, here you will be given further options, one of which is to request your order be left in a safe place of your choosing at the delivery address.
  • Your local driver will follow your instructions and leave your parcel for you to collect when you return to that address.

Collect at your local Pickup Shop

With our express delivery you can also arrange your parcel to be sent to one of thousands of local Pickup Shops across the UK. That's right, if you are unable to receive your parcel in the one hour delivery window and, chose not to have your parcel left in a safe place, you also have the option to have your parcel delivered to a local store for you to pick up from when it's convenient.

  • On the day your order is due for delivery you will receive an email and/or a text message containing your one hour delivery window.
  • Now, here you will be given further options, one of which is to select one of thousands of local pickup shops for your parcel to be delivered to so that you can collect it when it is convenient for you.
  • Your local driver will follow your instructions and delivery your parcel to your chosen store where it will wait for you to collect it.

So, what do I need to do take advantage of this service?

Not much! In fact as long as you have selected the delivery of your Sheridan Marine parcel via our DPD Express Delivery service (which you can select at the checkout) and you have provided a valid email address and/or a valid mobile telephone number, just await your email and/or text on the day of delivery.

And there's more...

With the DPD app on your smart phone or wearable (i.e. smart watch) you can stay in control of your parcel throughout its journey to you.

The app will allow you to:

  • Control when and where your parcel is to be delivered.
  • Let you know when your parcel is approximately 30 minutes away.
  • Allow you to set up 'Your Safe Place' for parcels to be left.
  • Receive a 'We missed you' message should a delivery attempt fail. Your driver may even come back on the same day to try again at delivering too.
  • Set your preferred delivery time window outside of the 'School Run' time so that your parcel delivery attempt is not while you are busy running the kids around.

Please Note: Although we do not expect that any problems will arise with the use of this service it is a third party service provided by DPD so Sheridan Marine cannot be held responsible for delays or other issues that may arise with transporting your parcel once it has left our premises.
