British Seagull Outboard Connecting Rods

British Seagull® Outboard Connecting Rod connects the piston to the crankshaft. As the crankshaft rotates the connecting rod swivels on the bearings, creating the reciprocating motion.

At one end the connecting rod attaches to the British Seagull Outboard Piston via the gudgeon pin and at the other, the British Seagull Outboard Crankshaft. Each end of the connecting rod has a bronze bearing that allows the rod to follow a smooth rotating motion as the crankshaft spins within the British Seagull Outboard Crankcase. During the combustion cycle the piston pushes the connecting rod backwards and forwards on to the crankshafts off-set crank throw, creating the reciprocating combustion cycle.
