The Crewsaver Crewfit 165N Sport life jacket is the latest in manual life jacket design and styling. Approved to the latest ISO 12402-3 safety requirements for buoyancy of 150 Newtons but with superior 165 Newtons; to float you even higher in the water.
The Crewfit 165N Sport adult lifejacket utilises the latest 3D technology to shape the jacket to be less intrusive when worn. The slim sides narrow towards the neck so you are freer to swivel your head, almost as though you were not wearing a life jacket, and the strap on the back has increased surface area for improved comfort.
This life jacket is activated by a manual pull cord which is easy to hand at the bottom of the lifejacket. Pulling the cord will initiate the firing mechanism and the lifejacket will inflate. This life jacket does not feature automatic inflation on submersion in water so it will not inflate when underwater until the pull cord is pulled. This is beneficial when it is likely that you will be in the water in controlled conditions but require the safety of a manual jacket to inflate the safety device only when triggered manually.
This boating lifejacket is manufactured with an independent internal air bladder and robust exterior protection jacket. The exterior protection jacket is designed to prevent piercing of the internal air bladder and wraps around the air bladder and is held together firmly with a quick-release zip. The two-toned colour design adds a sportier image to the boat life jacket and features adjustable straps with a quick locking buckle for ease of use a crotch strap buckle fastener is also set to one side.
When inflated the internal bladder 'pops' its way through the quick-release zip that runs around the external protective casing while it inflates. Important safety features such as peninsular chin support (when inflated) helps to keep your airway clear of the water and reflective patches on the bladder help to improve visibility whilst the grab handle is useful for hoisting the wearer out. An oral inflation tube provides a means to keep the jacket inflated should you be in the water for a while and the rescue whistle is a means for making noise too.
This lifejacket can be refilled once inflated using the appropriate new pressurised inflation cannister.
