The metal Freeman sea cock filters are designed to fit inside the original Freeman sea cock bodies in order to filter the engine cooling water and prevent debris entering and blocking the cooling system.
Sea cock filters should be checked and cleaned on a regular basis as they collect the debris and can become blocked resulting in a reduced flow of water to cool the engine.
The short filter, which is approximately 70mm (2 3/4") long is generally used on the petrol engined Freeman boats. The large filter, which is approximately 108mm (4 1/4") long is generally used on the diesel engined Freeman Cruisers.
