Negative Battery Leads Information

Black boat battery leads for negative battery terminal connections featuring copper wire with a crimped 8mm ring eye connector and a 10mm ring eye connector for up to 170 Amps.

These boat battery leads can be used in the engine battery or domestic battery systems as wiring between key components such as the battery and the boat battery master switch. In a 12 volt system it is common place to use black coloured sleeved wire on the negative side of the wiring and red on the positive side for easy identification.

Each of our battery leads feature an 8mm crimped ring eye connector and a 10mm crimped ring eye connector. The 10mm connector is usually suitable for connecting to many battery master switches that tend to feature 10mm terminals (do check your battery switch however as this can differ per manufacturer).

The 8mm connector is usually suitable for battery terminals that fit on to the engine start or leisure battery terminal posts and, particularly on Freeman Cruisers, the starter solenoid.
