3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Heavy Cutting Compound is a heavy P600 grade rubbing compound, ideal for removing heavy oxidation, scratches and scuffs from your boats gelcoat. This heavy rubbing compound leaves a glossy finish so your boat doesn't require polishing before applying a wax finish.

If you don't need to remove heavy oxidation and scratches try 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound & Wax or 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Light Cutting Polish & Wax.

• Use if you have heavily oxidised gelcoat
• Get a high gloss finish which will need waxing to protect the finish

3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Heavy Cutting Compound Application

It is recommended to wash your boat before applying 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Heavy Cutting Compound with 3M Perfect-It Boat Wash.

3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Heavy Cutting Compound can be applied by hand using a cloth or by machine. Work the restorer into the fibreglass/gelcoat until a satisfactory finish is obtained, being careful not to burn the gelcoat layer if a machine is used.

After applying 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Heavy Cutting Compound finish by sealing the gelcoat with 3M Perfect-It Boat Wax.
