3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound & Wax

3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound & Wax is an excellent, one-step, cleaner for dull and marked fibreglass/gelcoat boat surfaces. The blend of the medium rubbing compound, combined with waxes is designed to remove medium to heavy oxidation, chalking, water spots, rust and exhaust stains on fibreglass/gelcoat and marine topside paints.

The end result is a glossy finish with a protective coating which should be finished with a good marine polish or 3M Perfect-It Boat Wax.

If you need to remove light oxidation and scratches try 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Light Cutting Polish & Wax which leaves a high gloss polished finish.

3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound & Wax Application

It is recommended to wash your boat before applying 3M Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound & Wax with 3M Perfect-It Boat Wash.

3M Marine Fibreglass Restorer and Wax can be applied by hand using a cloth or by machine. Work the restorer into the fibreglass/gelcoat until a satisfactory finish is obtained, being careful not to burn the gelcoat layer if a machine is used.

You can then apply a marine polish such as 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Light Cutting Polish & Wax to finish with a high gloss shine.
