British Seagull® Outboard Mark 1 Villiers Ignition Assembly Flywheel rotates on the crankshaft creating the magnetic contact with the coil ends producing the current for ignition.
The British Seagull Flywheel houses magnets at intervals around the diameter which pass the coil ends at each point during the rotation creating a current that is fed into the British Seagull Outboard Mark 1 Villiers Ignition Assembly Coil to produce the ignition spark for the engine cycle.
The outboard engine flywheel locates on the British Seagull Outboard Crankshafts converting reciprocating motion to rotational motion for drive via the British Seagull Outboard Connecting Rods.
This part is suitable for all British Seagull Outboard engines fitted with the Mark 1 Villiers ignition assemblies.
