Answer: The only difference between these two impellers is the number of blades, the dimensions and fitting are the same. The 18653 impeller has 10 blades and the 653 impeller has 6 blades. As a rule of thumb, the more blades an impeller has the more pressure it can produce. At this size of impeller, the difference probably won't be noticeable. However, it is best practice to replace the impeller like-for-like with the original fitment impeller.
