A classically styled 52mm fuel level gauge with a shiny stainless steel bezel. This fuel level gauge is compatible with fuel senders that are 10 ohms when empty and 180 ohms when full such as Smiths, VDO, Faria Europe, Guardian and Uflex.
The Fuel Level Gauge 10 to 180 ohm with Stainless Steel Bezel is a classically styled black gauge with white writing, an analogue white needle and a shiny stainless steel bezel, it is also waterproof, perfect for classic boats such as Freeman Cruisers.
The fuel level gauge has a scale from Empty (E) to Full (F) with markings for 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 full to show the amount of fuel in your tank. The gauge requires an appropriate sender to be fitted to the fuel tank to sense the correct fuel level.
This fuel level gauge works with a sensor that reads 10 ohms of resistance when the tank is empty and 180 ohms when the tank is full. This type of fuel sender is usually used by European gauge manufacturers and may be found on boats of European origin here in the UK. Common gauges using this resistance to show empty and full could be made by Faria Europe, Guardian, Smiths, Uflex, VDO and Yazaki.
This classic fuel level gauge comes complete with built-in led backlight illumination in either yellow or red light and is designed for use on 12 volt or 24 volt systems. It also comes complete with a wiring loom with a quick connect plug to make fitting easier.
This voltmeter gauge has an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of IP67 which means it is completely sealed from dust and is waterproof as it is protected against temporary immersion in water (up to 30 minutes).
The gauge requires a 53mm hole and will fit panels with a thickness from 0.5mm to approximately 20mm, this is achieved thanks to the long threaded body and large plastic nut to lock the voltmeter in position.
The wiring loom is pre-wired to a plug which pushes into the back of the gauge, only four wires are required, Positive, Negative, Sender and then either of the backlight wires, which can also be put through a switch to provide day time (yellow light) and night time (red light) illumination.
