Seaflo 13A Series High-Flow Rate Bilge Pumps

The Seaflo 13A Series High-Flow Rate Bilge Pump is a 12-volt non-automatic bilge pump for the removal of water from boat bilges. This can be connected to a bilge float switch for automatic operation or controlled manually. The Seaflo 13A Series boat bilge pumps feature anti-airlock protection so that the pump can easily prime itself and is constructed using marine-grade materials, providing a simple yet efficient means of removing water from boat bilges.

What are the main features of the Seaflo 13A Series Bilge Pumps?

  • High-Flow Rate: These boat bilge pumps can move more water faster than standard bilge pumps as the flow rate is higher.
  • Electric Submersible Design: These pumps are designed to be submerged directly into the bilge water for efficient and rapid water removal without the need for manual intervention.
  • Automatic Operation: Although these pumps are non-automatic as standard (i.e. manual operation via an on / off switch) it is possible to connect the pump operation via a float switch for the pump to work automatically. When connected to a float switch, the pump activates when water reaches a certain level in the bilge and deactivates the pump once the water level drops to a preset level provided by the float switch. This method of installing the pump ensures that the bilge pump operates only when necessary, conserving power and minimising wear and tear.
  • Various Capacity Options: The 13A Series pumps are available in different capacities as listed above. This provides options to choose a pump size that matches the size of their vessel and the expected water drainage requirements.
  • Durable Construction: Seaflo pumps are constructed of robust materials, including corrosion-resistant thermoplastic housings and stainless steel components. This ensures durability and longevity, even in harsh marine environments.
  • Removable strainer: The water inlet strainer lies very low to improve water intake. It is also removable to aid in the cleaning of debris.
  • Anti-Airlock Protection: This feature helps to prevent water airlocks, which can stop some pumps from operating. This helps the pump prime itself for operation.
  • Non-Return Valve: The Seaflo 13A Series pumps have a non-return valve in the outlet pipe connector to prevent water backflow.
  • Protection: The pump is fitted with ignition protection and uses moisture-tight seals in the housing to prevent water from entering the pump motor.
  • Easy Installation and Maintenance: The pumps are designed for easy installation, with simple wiring and mounting options. This makes them suitable for both new installations and as replacements for existing bilge pumps. The pump easily splits down and has accessible components for servicing and pump replacement.
  • Split Quick-Connect Port: The split quick-connect port allows for easier hose connection as the hosetail connector is tightened onto the pump using a 'floating' thread collar nut, meaning that you do not have to remove the hose before undoing the pump.
  • Low Power Consumption: SeaFlo bilge pumps are designed to be energy-efficient, consuming minimal power while providing effective water removal. This is essential for boats where power supply may be limited, such as those relying on batteries or small onboard generators.
  • Regulation Standards: The Seaflo 13A Series pump is certified as ISO 8846 and ISO 8849 standards.
